Coyotes defeat Leopards in 28th straight conference win
Another game, another win for the No. 3-ranked Weatherford College volleyball team. The Coyotes swept Temple College in three straight sets, showcasing their offensive power and strong defense to remain undefeated in conference play.
The No. 3 Weatherford College volleyball team remains a top contender in the nation as they defeated Temple College on Saturday, winning a 3-0 shutout against the Leopards at home.
WC is the top team in Region V, with an impressive 28-win streak in conference matchups.
After their sweep against Temple (25-12, 25-16, 25-14), WC now has a 19-2 overall record and sits at 8-0 in conference play.
Alena Lopez had an impressive streak of service aces for the Coyotes, totaling six on the day and nine digs.
Kiana Souza played well on the defensive side of the ball, with eight digs.
Weronika Urbanska led the Coyotes in offensive strikes, collecting nine kills.
The Coyotes will be on the road to open the month of October but will be back at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. to play North Central Texas College.
