Coyotes honored with conference awards
Five athletes named to all-conference first and second teams
With another season drawing to a close, the Weatherford College women's golf team was named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference champions.
WC also had several athletes named to the all-conference first and second teams, with Corrina Haros earning the Player of the Year Award, and assistant coach Katie Johnston earning the Coach of the Year Award.
Haros earned a spot on the all-conference first team, alongside her teammates Tasnim Smaili and Emily Gutierrez. WC claimed three of the four available spots.
Anjali Nair and Yixuan Mu were named to the all-conference second team.
Haros, Smaili, Gutierrez, and Nair also earned a spot on the All-Region V team.
The Coyotes will travel to Coal Valley, Illinois on May 11-14 for their NJCAA Division 1 National Championship held at Oakwood Country Club.
