Bio
Lisa Murphy joined the WC softball staff in 2023.
Murphy was an assistant coach at the University of North Texas from 2010 to 2012, helping to lead the Mean Green to their first winning season and the pitching staff’s lowest ERA in program history.
As head coach at Fort Worth Christian School (2008-09), she led her team to a state finals appearance in 2009.
She has been a pitching coach in the DFW Metroplex since 2012, currently working with Parker County Baseball and Softball.
As a player, Murphy was a four-year starter at Baylor University, earning All-Big XII honors in two seasons. Her team finished fifth at the 2007 College World Series, Baylor’s first appearance.
She was also a professional softball player, playing for the Washington Glory of the NPF (National Pro Fastpitch) in 2008.
She is a Fort Worth native. Lisa and her husband, Duncan, have one daughter.
