WC claims event titles in goat tying, team roping

Weatherford College returned from the Western Texas College Rodeo in Snyder this weekend with event titles in goat tying and team roping.  

Jacee Graff dominated with a 6.5 and 6.8 for a 13.3 on two to take the goat tying title.  

In team roping, Kyler Beshirs from South Plains College and WC's Beldon Cox turned in a 4.0 and 4.8 for a total of 8.8 to take first place across the board.  

Lane Webb and team roping partner Beau West from Sul Ross State University took seventh in the event.  

Mecate Trammell placed fifth in bull riding with an 80 on one.  

Jake Shelton finished ninth in steer wrestling and Jason Stout placed 10th in saddle bronc.  

WC rodeo heads to Big Spring this weekend for the Howard College Rodeo.
