Coyotes look to bounce back at home Friday after a tough road trip against the Highlanders.

The No. 8 McLennan Community College baseball team took two games from No. 17 Weatherford College in Waco on Wednesday, 11-1 and 9-5.
After WC took a 1-0 lead at the top of the third inning in the first game, MCC scored 11 unanswered runs. McLennan hit three home runs in the game.
Walt Jones was 2-for-2 for Weatherford. The Coyotes were held to three hits.
Jake Overstreet hit two home runs in the second game for the Coyotes, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk.
After falling behind 8-1, Weatherford made a late push, scoring two runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth. But the rally fell short as the Highlanders (27-7 overall, 9-5 in conference play) won their ninth straight.
In the conference standings, WC (23-13, 13-5) fell a game out of first place behind Grayson College (14-4 in conference).
The Coyotes and Highlanders will play again in a pivotal doubleheader at Roger Williams Ballpark on Friday. The first game begins at noon.
