Coyotes nationally ranked in NJCAA D1 poll
Weatherford College is ranked No. 7 in the National Junior College Athletic Association pre-season Division I baseball poll released Tuesday. The Coyotes begin their 2026 season Jan. 30.
WC is the highest-ranked team that did not appear in the 2025 NJCAA World Series. The Coyotes are coming off a 48-13 year and a share of the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference title, their third straight.
WC will face several nationally-ranked teams this season: No. 2 Blinn Jan. 30-31 at Roger Williams Ballpark; No. 1 Salt Lake Community College, the reigning national champion, Feb. 7-8 in Weatherford; No. 25 Midland on the road Feb. 28; and No. 6 McLennan in a four-game series April 1 in Waco and April 3 in Weatherford.
