NJCAA names Brandt first team All-American
First team honors in third straight year for WC baseball
For the third consecutive year, the Weatherford College baseball team produced a first team NJCAA All-American pitcher. In 2025, Evan Brandt took home that title.
Brandt has now joined the ranks of the three other first team NJCAA All-Americans in WC baseball; Robin Villeneuve and Ryne Rodriguez in 2023 and Robert Fortenberry in 2024.
Brandt is also one of seven All-Americans across all athletic programs for the Coyotes this academic year, the most in school history.
The right-hander was a valuable asset to the Coyotes pitching staff this season, putting up 55 strikeouts, a 1.07 WHIP, and a 1.88 ERA. Brandt led the nation in wins with a total of 14.
Brandt has chosen to continue his collegiate baseball career in his commitment to play at the University of Arizona next year.
