Aledo grad is WC’s third straight POTW
Mazon's hot streak earns him NTJCAC honors
For the third straight week, a Weatherford College baseball player has been honored with an award from the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. Aledo High School graduate Trace Mazon earned the NTJCAC Position Player of Week for Feb. 9-15.
Previously teammates who have also earned this honor include right-handed pitcher Evan Brandt and second baseman JC Davis.
Mazon, a sophomore third baseman, hit .667 for the week. He scored nine times on three doubles and seven walks. On top of that, he drove in five runs. His on-base percentage for the week was .765, and he posted an on-base plus slugging of 1.765.
