Weatherford College right-handed pitcher Evan Brandt was named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's pitcher of the week. 

A sophomore from Argyle, Brandt helped the Coyotes score an impressive win against No. 3-ranked Iowa Western on Feb. 7. In six innings, he managed to fan seven batters and only allowed four hits and had zero walks. 

The Coyotes play a series against Amarillo College at home this weekend with games at 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, and noon and 4 on Sunday, Feb. 23. Visit wcathletics.com for the full schedule.
