The Weatherford College women’s basketball team has moved up two spots to number eight in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I poll released Wednesday.

WC (11-0) finished the fall semester with a 69 - 62 win over perennial powerhouse Midland College at the Betty Jo Crumm Graber Athletic Center Wednesday night. The Lady Coyotes will not play again until the Jacksonville Classic Jan. 6 - 7.

The Lady Coyotes are averaging 84.1 points per game while allowing 60.5 points per game.

Trinity Valley Community College remained in the poll’s top spot. Other Texas schools included Paris Junior College (#18) and Hill College (#20), who both entered the top 20 for the first time this season.
