Coyote Softball ranked No. 10


The Weatherford College softball team has jumped four spots in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I rankings to No. 10 in the country, according to the poll released Tuesday by the NJCAA office in Colorado Springs.

The Coyotes (33-8 overall) have won nine straight games and are leading the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference standings with an 18-4 league record.

WC pitcher Morgan Rackel ranks No. 14 in the country in wins (18), and Macie Perrin is No. 16 in RBI (58) and No. 24 in home runs (13).
Butler Community College (El Dorado, KS) leads the poll with a 36-0 record.

Weatherford hosts Vernon College Wednesday, April 12 in a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m.
