After dropping both games against Lon Morris in their respective home openers, the Weatherford College basketball teams exacted their revenge Wednesday, winning both contests at Lon Morris College.

The Lady Coyotes won their contest 70-63. In the first meeting between the schools, the WC women overcame a sizable deficit but came up short in an overtime loss.

The Weatherford men fared better as well, in the road game at Jacksonville, adding more offense while topping the Bearcats, 85-81. When Lon Morris visited WC on Nov. 3, they bested the Coyotes, 83-71.

The win improves WC's season record to 4-3. The Coyotes recently played in the Hutchinson Quarterback Classic, winning their first two contests before dropping the tourney finale to the host team.

The Lady Coyotes return to action again Saturday, at the Betty Jo Crumm Graber Center. The game is slated for a 5:30 p.m. start.

The WC men travel to Midland to play in a tournament lasting Friday and Saturday.
