On June 11, 2008, Dave Donnelly was appointed head men's basketball coach at Weatherford College. Donnelly has worked on the collegiate level since 1995 having spent the last 10 years at the Division I level.
During the 2007-08 season, Donnelly served under Head Coach Charles Ramsey at Eastern Michigan University where they finished 2nd in the MAC West.
Prior to arriving at Eastern Michigan, Donnelly served under Head Coach Jimmy Collins at The University of Illinois at Chicago from 1998-2007. In his last 6 years, UIC made 2 NCAA Tournament appearances and received the schools first ever NIT bid.
Aside from his coaching duties at UIC, Donnelly currently served on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I Assistant Coaches Committee from 2003-2007.
Prior to arriving at The University of Illinois of Chicago, Donnelly served under Head Coach Russ Damhoff at Sauk Valley College from 1995-1998. During his 3-year stint at SVC, the Skyhawks made the Region 4 Final Four all 3 years and were ranked 23rd in the NJCAA Division I Final Poll in 1996 and 28th 1998.
Donnelly began his coaching career while serving in the United States Navy, where his squad participated in the East Coast Championships in each of the two years he was assigned as head coach. While in the U.S. Navy, he was assigned to Assault Craft Unit Two in Virginia Beach, Va., and earned the distinguished "Sailor of the Year" award in 1992.
Donnelly earned his Master of Science degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000, Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in 1997 and an Associate of Science degree from Sauk Valley College in 1995.
A native of Aurora, IL., Donnelly was a three-sport standout in basketball, football and track at Tampico High School. As a prep athlete, Donnelly earned honorable mention all-state honors in basketball, as well as all-district accolades in football and track.
Along with being the men's head basketball coach, Donnelly is a full-time instructor in the Kinesiology Department at Weatherford College.

Holman, a native of Oklahoma City, played basketball at Atlanta Christian College. He brings coaching experience from Sul Ross State University, the University of Texas at Dallas and Plano East Senior High School.
"I am extremely excited about Coach Holman joining our basketball program," said Dave Donnelly, WC head men's basketball coach. "He is very passionate about the game and committed to teaching and mentoring our student-athletes."
Holman earned a bachelor's degree in business from Langston University and a master's degree in education from Sul Ross.
"I want to thank Dr. Don Tomas, Dr. Steven Garippa, and Coach Donnelly for giving me this opportunity," Holman said. "I'm looking forward to becoming a part of the Weatherford College community, and continuing the tradition that has been established at WC."
Holman and his wife, Michelle, have one daughter, Tamia.
