Roderick Flemings has been named to the 2008-09 All-Western Athletic ConferenceFormer Weatherford College basketball player Roderick Flemings has been named to the 2008-09 All-Western Athletic Conference second team as a member of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

In WAC play, Flemings led the league in minutes played (37.1 mpg) and was among the leaders for scoring (15.8 ppg), steals (1.4 spg) and offensive rebounding (2.2 rpg). The Desoto native scored in double-digits in 15 of 16 league games and recorded two of his team-high five double-doubles in WAC play. He scored 20 or more points four times in WAC games, including a high of 27 points at New Mexico State. 

Flemings was also named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 6 second team.

The 6-foot-7 junior transferred to Hawaii after a stellar 2007-08 season at WC, where he earned first team All-America honors. He was named Player of the Year in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference, averaging 20.6 points per game and 11.7 rebounds for the Coyotes.

Flemings and Hawaii (13-16) next head to the 2009 WAC Tournament March 10-14 in Reno, Nev.
