Lady Coyotes ranked tenth in the nation

The National Junior College Athletic Association’s Division I women’s basketball poll was released Wednesday, and Weatherford College is now ranked tenth in the country. The Lady Coyotes (8-0) jumped from #17 to #10 in the weekly poll.

WC is averaging 82.8 points per game and only allowing 59.7. The Lady Coyotes have been particularly strong at home, winning by an average of 30.3 points per game at the Betty Jo Crumm Graber Athletic Center.

Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas was ranked #1 in the poll. WC was the only ranked team from the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference and one of two representatives from NJCAA Region 5, along with New Mexico Junior College (#16).
