Coyotes hit 18 threes to beat Collin

The Weatherford College men’s basketball team used 18 three-pointers to beat Collin College Saturday, 104-88.
Zach Naylor scored 26 points with four three-pointers, Warren Busby added 25 points with six threes, Chance Edwards scored 20 with two from beyond the arc and Tyrik Armstrong had four three-pointers and 18 points.
The Coyotes improved to 16-11 overall and 4-6 in conference play. WC and Hill College are tied for the fourth and final postseason spot out of the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference.
In the women’s game, Collin defeated Weatherford 77-59. Collin’s Ashtyn Beal led all scorers with 23 points.
The Lady Coyotes are 11-11 overall and 4-7 in NTJCAC play.
The women’s team will play at home for the last time this season against Cisco Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Cisco does not field a men’s team. Both WC teams will travel to Hillsboro to face Hill Saturday.
